My name is Devon (she/her) and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

If you are reading this, you may be feeling as though life is overwhelming. Reaching out for support can feel scary and vulnerable even in the best of times, let alone when we are struggling. My hope is that in working with me, you can feel safe to share the issues and emotions that are making life heavy. Through my counselling work, I have had the opportunity to support people in addressing issues such as substance abuse, relational challenges, life transitions, depression, anxiety, stress and grief. If you are looking for a therapist who is nurturing, compassionate and sometimes tells a bad mom joke - that's me!

My approach is relational and emotion-focused. I believe that we can learn by listening. Sometimes we can be surprised by what our mind and body share when we just allow space and time to express. Working with me, I aim to offer a space for you to safely experience whatever is coming up in the moment. To be able to allow your whole self to be witnessed.

  • I am a highly sensitive person, or as I like to title myself - a superfeeler. From a young age, I felt things deeply and had a hard time expressing my feelings and needs. In a world where we are encouraged to strive, hustle and achieve, I often felt out of place and too sensitive. As I got older, I began to notice that this was a common theme – that finding safe nurturing spaces to unpack our feelings and experiences can be hard to come by. This has become even more clear to me during my transition into motherhood. I believe that being able to share our stories and innermost feelings with someone safely is an important source of nurturance and healing. My own experiences and meaning makings as a superfeeler have been the guiding purpose in my journey to becoming a therapist.

I consider it a profound privilege to support people in expressing and understanding their emotions and stories.
