Kristen Hamilton (She/Her)

Clinical Director & Supervisor

Currently seeing clients in Kelowna & Online

I'm Kristen Hamilton-Block (she/her), a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I've dedicated the past 15 years to working with individuals and families in various settings, including hospitals, non-profits, and private practice. I currently live in Lake Country, BC and work in-person in Kelowna, BC as well as online with folks across BC.

My approach is all about you. As your therapist, I want to create a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore the patterns and beliefs that might be holding you back. I'm here to help you overcome obstacles and tap into your fullest potential.

Together, we can navigate the impact of past wounds and relationships on your sense of self and your connections with others. I believe that by understanding and challenging these beliefs, you can feel more empowered and confident in building and maintaining meaningful relationships—with both yourself and those around you.

If you're ready to explore, process, and make meaningful changes in your life, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

  • A lot of people think being a therapist is just listening to people’s problems all day. To me, therapy is so much more than this. I have known that therapy was to be my path since I was 14 years old and found myself sitting on my own therapist’s couch. I struggled with depression and chronic pain, which made it incredibly difficult for me to go to school, focus and stay motivated. My therapist provided me a safe space to explore healthy coping strategies whilst validating my pain and modelling self-compassion. As time progressed, my mood improved and we started exploring other areas that are so important to teenage and young adult development, like the importance of having healthy boundaries, healthy communication and healthy attachments. It became very clear to me that, like my own therapist, I wanted to spend my own time and energy helping others find their way and overcome barriers that impede them from a more meaningful life. This is why I do what I do and I love it!
